Sissy DeMaria is president of Kreps DeMaria, one of Florida’s leading public relations and marketing agencies. Kreps DeMaria ranked 6th on the South Florida Business Journal’s list of the Top 25 Public Relations Agencies, and was voted by the readers of the Daily Business Review as the Best PR Firm in South Florida. DeMaria is recognized for her expertise in media relations, marketing, and crisis communications, and represents clients in the real estate, legal, hospitality, and arts and culture industries.
DeMaria has represented the Fisher Island Club for more than 10 years and launched one of the most successful high-end real estate brands, the Setai Resort & Residences, as well as the most exclusive resort in the world, Musha Cay. She is currently promoting Miami Worldcenter, a sprawling 30-acre city within a city in downtown Miami that is the largest mixed-use urban project in the country.
Throughout her career, DeMaria has worked with leading mixed-use and condominium developers, such as Millennium Partners, and premier residential real estate companies like ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. In addition, she has represented the Southeast’s largest general contractor, Coastal Construction Group, for more than 15 years.
Most recently, DeMaria led the public relations and marketing campaign on behalf of the Miami Seaport Alliance, which successfully defeated David Beckham’s plans for a soccer stadium at PortMiami. DeMaria is a vital component of Kreps DeMaria’s internal growth and development. She formed the company’s digital marketing division, PR on the Net, and has led efforts to grow the firm’s social media division.
In 2013, she opened a New York office in affiliation with HWPR, one of the most established public relations firms in New York. Recognizing Miami’s rise to global elite city status, DeMaria formed a global network of renowned public relations firms in key locations throughout the world, including in New York, London, São Paulo, Mexico City and Dubai.
In 2014, DeMaria was recognized in Ocean Drive’s “Women of Influence” issue as an influential woman on “The List.” An avid equestrian, DeMaria launched Give a Buck for Special Equestrians in May 2013. The nonprofit encourages horse owners to share the joy of horses and horsemanship with those in our communities with physical or emotional disabilities by giving a buck or more to therapeutic riding programs with each monthly board payment.
A native of Miami, DeMaria is a graduate of the University of Miami. She serves on the board of the Coral Gables Community Foundation and advisory boards for the Young Patronesses of the Opera and JustAskBoo. She is also a member of the UM Citizens Advisory Group and a sustaining member of Beaux Arts, a support group of the Lowe Art Museum.
