In 2016, she expanded the 29-year-old agency, opening its first New York office on Madison Ave. DeMaria-Koehne is also the Founder of WorldWise PR Affiliates, a global network of independently owned public relations agencies in key locations throughout the world.
With over 25 years of experience, DeMaria-Koehne is recognized for her expertise in media relations and crisis communications specializing in serving clients in the residential and commercial real estate, hospitality, and arts and culture industries. DeMaria-Koehne represents prestigious residential brokerages and works with the country’s leading real estate developers to launch, position, and assist in driving sales for high profile new residential and mixed-use developments.
DeMaria-Koehne oversees a portfolio of luxury and corporate clients, including the exclusive Fisher Island Club Hotel & Resort, which she has represented for more than 15 years. She also launched one of the country’s most successful ultra-luxury real estate brands, the Setai Resort & Residences, as well as one of the world’s most exclusive resorts, Musha Cay. In addition to Fisher Island Club Hotel & Resort, a sample of current clients include Missoni Baia, Porsche Design Tower, and 1 Hotel & Homes.
An expert in crisis management, DeMaria-Koehne has guided clients through a variety of high profile and sensitive matters, most recently leading the public relations and marketing campaign on behalf of the Miami Seaport Alliance, which successfully defeated David Beckham’s plans for a soccer stadium at PortMiami.
She is the recipient of numerous industry and civic awards, including PR News’ “Top Women in PR,” South Florida Business Journal’s “Influential Business Women,” South Florida Luxury Guide’s “Women of Style and Substance,” and Ocean Drive’s “Women of Influence.” Most recently, she was named to Ocean Drive’s prestigious “The List” featured in its 25th Anniversary Edition.
A life-long equestrian, in 2013 DeMaria-Koehne founded the non-profit Give Back for Special Equestrians, which provides therapeutic horseback riding scholarships to children and veterans with physical and emotional disabilities in Florida and New York. DeMaria-Koehne also serves on the Board of Coral Gables Community Foundation, and has co-chaired its successful annual gala for four consecutive years.
DeMaria-Koehne is a mother of three, Stephanie (30), Dana (28) and Michele (24). A native of Miami, DeMaria-Koehne is a graduate of the University of Miami. She lives in Coral Gables with her husband, Dr. Guenther Koehne, Chief of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Hematologic Oncology at Miami Cancer Institute.
