Daniela di Monaco was born in Rome and graduated from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures; she also graduated from the School for Translators and Interpreters in Rome.
After working for Czechoslovak Airlines and at the Jordanian Airlines, she began a career as a freelance journalist and photographer and enrolled at the Register of Journalists of Lazio and Molise. As a journalist, she began to collaborate with the most important Italian Travel and Tourism magazines and traveled frequently between Europe, Middle East and Far East, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
In 1991, she founded Quattropiù International in Rome together with two colleagues – Anna Trigona and Maria Cristina Cuttica. In 2001, she became the sole owner of the agency and later changed its name to Daniela di Monaco. She is fluent in Italian, and also speaks and writes in English and French.
