With a degree in communication sciences and a master’s degree in social responsibility, Dolores Ávalos, president of Avalos Asociados, began her career in radio broadcasting, advertising, public relations and promotion.

Ávalos has extensive experience in tourism, having served as Corporate Communications Director with Hoteles Camino Real for 15 years.

She has worked in Mexico at Núcleo Radio Mil, McCann Erickson, the American Chamber of Commerce, Delegación Miguel Hidalgo and Fonatur (Mexico’s Trust Fund for Tourism Development).

In Europe, Ávalos worked for the firm European Public Relations (UK) and the BBC in London. Ávalos is also a former President of the Mexico Chapter of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and is now Vice President for 2012-2014.

She is also a member of the Board of Visit USA Mexico Chapter, a member of GBTA and a member of the Board of the Fundación Aquí Nadie se Rinde, A.C. (Children Cancer Association).
