For over 22 years, Santiago García Rúa served as director of communications for two of the biggest airlines in Argentina: Austral Líneas Aéreas and Aerolíneas Argentinas, where he managed the public relations, media relations and advertising for both companies and specialized in crisis communication management.
Prior, he ran his own Advertising Agency “Iniciativa Publicidad”, and was the coordination manager of the biggest Advertising Film Agency in Argentina, “Horacio Casares Producciones”.
He is licensed in communications, having worked as journalist in the very first and most important economy magazine, “Mercado” and top seller, “Gente”.
Santiago is also a frequent contributor to specialized publications, radio shows and was responsible for the editorial of Austral and Aerolineas Argentinas onboard magazines.
He was President of Club XXI, “Asociación de Comunicadores de Prensa de la República Argentina” – Argentine PR Association- and vocal of the Skal Club Buenos Aires.
